Hi, Brooke- I’m inclined to audio, helps me to hear things differently than if video, and keeps me off my screen. Plus I like painting a picture in my mind of you and Ben having coffee there in NSW. So that’s my vote! Keep healing and keep the faith for things improving and things becoming more understood. Glad the currawongs are keeping you company. And fresh figs, missing our old fig tree, nothing like them!
Loved this episode and definitely resonate with a little rebellion and joy finding. Even though I have watched vlodcasts before I could still kinda see what your were doing - the coffee making, the head turn to look outside at the birds sharing the unripened fig, the maxi bookshelf. Love it
I really enjoy the audio Brooke. As someone muddling through a chronic illness myself, I feel like audio is a way to still show up but simultaneously be kind to yourself by not having to “appear”.
My husband and I both enjoy your content and dynamic on the plodcast. Thank you!! Hoping you’re well today. x
I’m much more prefer audio-only podcasts, but that’s just me.
On a side note, I just wanted to share that you inspired me to start my Substack. I’ve been in a rut because as an artist, I want to share my work. But I’m also trying to live a simpler, more intentional life and Instagram (how I’ve shared my art previously) has just been a black hole of cyclical self-promotion. You’ve mentioned that Substack has been the only thing you really use that you value the community you’ve gotten from it. It made me realize that there alternatives for me, so long as I’m willing to step outside of my comfort zone. So thank you. :)
Congratulations on starting your Substack. I agree that the other social media outlets have changed and it irritates me. I am trying to move over to Substack and off of IG. I would much rather hang out here!
Hi Ben and Brooke, I'm really liking the audio version of the podcast. I guess I could also start the video and just listen to you. So do what you like.
Glad to hear your laugh, Brooke. Wishing you further healing as soon as possible. I'm glad you decided to return to the tortoise.
I'd be interested in a video podcast! Thanks for all you do, Ben & Brooke! I've been a listener since.... 2016 ish! Your podcast has been with me through thick and thin! ❤️
Hi! I listened to this episode while driving home from visiting my kid at college. It was a beautiful reminder of why I love your podcast and work. I felt myself nodding and speaking outloud during certain parts. During the same drive, I listened to a wonderful episode on Joy with Martha Beck on Tim Ferris's podcast. Joy is following me everywhere, and I don't mean on TikTok. I can't believe social media once again distored a beautiful, simple message. I do prefer audio since I only listen to them in the car. As much as I would love to see your faces, I absorb your words better without the visuals to distract me.
Would love to see you two on video! Your banter is so fun and I'm curious so see your expressions, especially during pauses. I've met you on your Slow book tour in Chicago, and it was enjoyable to watch you record your podcast in person. I vote for video!
(P.S. Sometimes I picture you guys, and other times I picture Bandit and Chili behind the mic 🤣 We're huge Bluey fans in our house.)
I love listening to you ❤️ You were my very first podcast subscription!!!
I’d watch you. (And I’m sure Ben could set it up so you can wear your track pants if you want!) However in the true reason why you plodcast, do what works for YOU. Maybe try it out and see.
Hi Brooke and Ben,
I prefer the audio podcast, for me it’s more intimate to only hear your voice (which I find very pleasant and soothing to listen to, both of you).
I’m also avoiding screens as much as possible.
I could imagine one episode though with video, just to have a visual impression of you sitting and talking to each other, as an extra gift😊

Soft life - loved this episode.
I tend to listen to podcasts when I am driving so the video would be a bit lost on me. I am trying for less and less screen time all the time.
Whatever you guys decide on will be fabulous,
Love cherie
I agree with you. It's interesting how my adult kids tend towards video.
I am an audio podcast gal. I save my faves to listen when doing less fun tasks.
I am trying to learn to live softly or at least embrace moments of soft like a long soak in the tub.
Continue to prioritize your health Brooke.
Me too! I don't listen to many podcasts for this reason. I don't want to spend that much time on a device. I also find it more relaxing with audio.

Loving the episodes and hoping you are continuing to rest up and look after yourself 🌺
Saving as a reminder to listen, but I’m sure it’s lovely!

I've just started watching some vlogs on youtube and I find they are a good way to keep my focus so I'd be interested in a video plodcast 😄
