I love the idea of adding a bit more structure to these types of conversations - thank you for the template!

Love your smiley coffee. 😁 Thank you for the WIP. I use a normal diary and this will give hubby and I an overview of our week.

Thanks Shireen! I think the structure is most of what helps us too. Just knowing what we need to cover, covering it, and moving on with the week knowing it's been done. Makes such a difference

Hi Brooke - thanks for this (and for making this little corner of the Substack world such a fun place to hang out). I'm a bit of a systems nerd and use a planner thingy of my own devising called Rhythm and No Blues :) It grew out of the last time I did the Rhythms workshop and I can see how it could be tweaked by merging with some of your WIP elements. Right up my alley.

Just when I thought I couldn't love you more Winsome, you pull out the 'Rhythm and No Blues'!! I have to admit I'm not a big systems person myself (I wish it came more naturally to me) but maybe because of that, the tools that have stuck over the years are the ones that make the biggest difference? Anyway, if you ever have some systems-nerd feedback, I'm all ears 💚💚

Ah, this made my heart sing 🎶 I do find that my love of systems and organisation can make it hard to keep the routine out of the rhythm so I’m looking forward to revisiting the concepts in the current Rhythms Retreat (having just finished Values - it was SO interesting redoing this and digging a lot deeper this time around). I’ll keep you posted! 🧡🌻

Thank you so much! I discovered your podcast in 2019 when I felt like I was drowning in too much-ness and just wanted a more simple way of life.

Loving watching your journey and really feel like this template will be a game changer.

Does anyone have hints to get a partner to actually reference these types of things once you make them (instead of asking the other for reminders? Asking for a friend 😜

I’m not sure about your friend 😆 but for us it helps if we both write out our own WIP list rather than rely on one of us to tell the other what to do. That way we can prioritise, and see the things most relevant to us, and not feel like it’s someone’s job to keep the other one on task. X

As of this Sunday, we will be holding a Family WIP. I've been struggling in a house with *almost five adults to gently encourage each person to be accountable for pitching in and helping with household planning and tasks. This is a great way to manage that with awareness of what commitments (exams, work, sports...) everyone has that week. I'm hoping allocating tasks (and responsibility) helps lighten my mental load!

I hope it’s helpful Kristin! And I agree - even the act of talking through this stuff together can highlight the gaps, the burdens that some carry more than others and the ways we might need to flex and flow with each other. Here’s to a slightly reduced mental load 💚💚💚

Thank you for sharing your WIP template. I have my lists and plans all over the place in different note pads etc. This looks great for all in one place.

You're so welcome Tami - hopefully it helps. Having a central spot for this and then my daily to-dos has been a game-chnager. I used to have my lists all over the place too, so I feel your pain 😆
