Valuable share. We often get misrepresented in spaces we assume people will see us eye to eye. Appreciate you sharing.

Thanks so much Tim. Those assumptions play such a big part in how we all move through the world, don’t they?

Brooke, I just listened to the audio of this and you brought me to tears. Very well said. Let's choose humanitarian over political always 🤍

Thank you, Brooke, for articulating what I feel and think and have so much trouble getting my head around. "Man's inhumanity to man"....

Thank you, Brooke, for the courage to write this and for the eloquent thoughts on such a hard subject. I agree with everything you wrote and it was cathartic to listen to your reading of the post. Authentic voices seem rare in this world and I have found such joy in reading your book (I’m on Care right now but hope to get Slow and Destination Simple soon) and Substack and listening to your podcast. Your conversations with your husband calm the nervous system. Thank you so much for all you are giving to the world (I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan). Take care and looking forward to all your future endeavors. ♥️

Those statements are powerful to remind ourselves that even if we feel helpless, we do need to keep heart. In Clementine Ford's new & aptly titled, podcast 'Untethered', she rages about the silence on Palestine and men's violence against women and children. She was fired from Nova for speaking out about Palestine, but does not hold back here. Thanks for being courageous and sharing your thoughts Brooke 💚

Thank you Brooke, for having the courage to write this difficult piece. Witnessing genocide in real time is beyond horrific, but it pales in comparison to what the targeted Palestinian population are enduring. The fact that the so-called civilised world is watching on and not intervening makes me question the ‘humanity’ of the human race. Not to mention that Australia supplying weapons to Israel makes me ashamed and sick to my stomach.

So beautifully written Brooke. That gave me goosebumps. Such a great human response. I’m not on any social media (highly recommend it!), and don’t watch the news often, so am a little naive to what is going on, but know enough to know it’s an absolute tragedy. Thanks for inspiring me to write to our local MP. Xx

Thank you, agree. Appreciate the action points specifically as a reminder to keep using our voices. I’ll be downloading the book also.

We do need to speak our truth- because we are all affected as you said. And one death is too many.

Brooke, thank you for writing and being honest about your conflict with what and when to write about world events - I feel you - as a very new writer I struggle with this and it feels scary a lot of the time! Thank you for the book link. I am looking forward to exploring that. Take care of your beautiful heart. xo

Thank you for your thoughts on this Brooke, they mirror my own. I have raised my voice about the humanitarian toll in Gaza within my friendship group and have had a friend who identifies as Jewish turn on me and call me anti semetic. This isn’t a religious or faith based view that I have, it’s about respecting the lives of innocent humans

Thank you Brooke. I echo your thoughts completely. It is heartbreaking to see and read about what’s happening. So much suffering it’s impossible to imagine. And I often think that even when the war does ‘end’ there will be trauma lasting for generations. Much love to you for speaking out 💚💚
