I am loving the audio version Brooke. So often I feel like reading emails are just another job on the list, so I have enjoyed listening while hanging out the washing. Thank you
Thank you for the real-life audio recording Brooke! I enjoy hearing your familiar voice.
I'm also here for Marie Kondo's shift in life seasons. I've personally gone through phases of strict organization and habit tracking, (which served me well at the time), but needed to release the reigns over time for the sake of my mental well-being and embracing "good enough". It's like your concept of "tilting" and leaning into what matters most in the moment and in the season.
Thank you for sharing Substack accounts you enjoy. I am relatively new to this space, but I'm loving it. It's like a breath of fresh air from the fast-paced short-clip video format of social media platforms. I've even decided to start my own newsletter as a passion project. It's called the Evergreen.
Yes! I'm so with you Diana! On all things. I'm a huge fan of the "good enough" approach these days, while I can also see the benefit that the more regimented approaches have given me over the years. I'm so pleased to have landed where we have and am happy to see people like Marie Kondo allowing themselves the freedom to change too. Here's to more of it!
Thank you also for your support and for recommending The Tortoise on your substack (which is fantastic, by the way) I get heaps of new faces here because of you. 💚💚
I’m using your 1% idea for several things this week - thanks so much for a great hack that sidesteps my ‘inner negative voice’ so it doesn’t block my projects before I even begin. I’m also weeding in sections, but my big takeaway is now doing 15 minutes in my studio to ‘play’ after dinner and during non-studio days (I paint for a living) which I’ve found both therapeutic and relaxing. ~ Naomi on the NSW Far Sth Coast.
This makes me so happy Naomi! And your idea of 15 minutes of play in the studio is so cool. I'm trying something very similar with 15 minutes of visual journalling or doing a blackout poem or something similarly creative most days. It's such a joy! (Also, I didn't know you were on the south coast! Such a beautiful part of the world 💚)
Why do we get so mad when people share that they have changed their mine or grown or found a different way. I definitely Kondified my life for a minute. It was a good reflection on my desire to constantly see more of everything. These days I’m not tidying up but I’m reflecting on this concept of enoughness. Thanks Brooke!
I so love how you referenced Marie Condo (I had not heard of her shift). What a gentle thoughtful way to honor her choice and connect to your own evolution.very cool.

This makes me so happy Shiree! Thank you for listening and for being here 💚
I did have a laugh when the ringing of the phone made me jump 🤣
Oh I know! I was going to start the recording again but I thought, "You know what? That's life sometimes!" Hope it didn't scare you too much

Love this Brooke. Your words are very real and I resonate a lot.
Thank you so much Julie! 💚
Terry.
God I love Terry!! 🐢💚
This is a totally unusual name suggestion for the tortoise, but the first word that came in my mind when I looked at it was Cotton :-)
This is the most beautiful name! So gentle. I love it Kamala, thank you!! 💚

Slow Mo for the tortoise name Brooke
The first name that came to mind when I looked at your (absolutely gorgeous) tortoise mascot was Spud! 🥔
