Creativity is on my list too and is my word for the year. I am discovering that creativity comes in so many forms and appreciating recognising that my creativity takes many forms. Health is my other 1% I am finally able to restart swimming and must remember that short swims are needed first!

This is such a huge lesson isn't it? It took me years to recognise that creativity expands beyond the typical things we think of as creative, and that every single one of us is creative. Sounds like we're in a similar spot in terms of health too Jan - I hope you're starting to feel stronger and enjoy those swims!

I'm going to play with deliberate rest in my workday to try and avoid the steam train building up steam and racing through the day, forgetting even to go to the toilet syndrome that used to be a feature of the way I worked. I might set an alarm every hour on the hour as a reminder to pause. Make sure I eat lunch outside...mmm not sure how to 1% it, maybe this is a case of just all in and forgive myself if I don't do it perfectly to begin with. xo

Last month my 1%’s were more stretching and less spending money. Stretching fell by the wayside, but I definitely feel the urge to spend is a lot less than at the start of the challenge. Or if I give in and splurge, most times I go ok that was nice but I don’t actually need to do that again (mainly buying coffee).

I had already decided one of my 1%’s was going to be less screen time (and unsubscribing from newsletters, deleting apps etc) so I’m stoked that the mini ritual will fit with that! I realised that almost all of my inbox is ‘wants’ not ‘needs’, even if some of them are pleasurable (like reading Substack posts!).

I want to try stretching again, as I have almost finished reading ‘the end of back pain’ by Patrick Roth and am keen to give it a red hot go. I would also like to crochet more as my goal to complete one project this year seems likely to fail spectacularly!

My 1% this month looks like boxes packed and ready for the removalists to take on Tuesday, a packed bag that is going to be in the car and driving down with us to Tassie in 2 weeks and a moving checklist with a lot more green on it than this time last month 😁

15 minutes seems doable!! My 1% for this month will be to delay my morning coffee by fifteen minutes and instead take my iron supplement and drink a large glass of water

Creativity is on my list for July as is Joy. I want to tap into my inner child as it is summer here in the states. I feel that Joy and fun is needed especially now. I want to remember little things that I did that brought huge amounts of pleasure. I want to maintain my morning creative practice of sketching and journaling as well as picking up knitting again. I seem to begin with loftily goals. I am starting a list of little ones this time. ❤️❤️❤️
