Hello mates!
Welcome to another edition of Notes on Noticing, my attempt to somewhat publicly practise the art of paying attention (and hopefully resurrect the lost art of day-in-the-life style letter writing).
As I’ve said before, noticing is a shortcut to slowness. It stretches my experience of time, making it more. And it gives me something that all the rushing in the world couldn’t give me: room to breathe, when only seconds earlier I would have sworn there was not a moment to spare.
We’re heading into what is traditionally a busy time of year, so if you’re feeling the pace of things and the weight of things increasing, join me in spending a few minutes of noticing every day. 💚
